Fully adaptable for teachers of all experience levels. Charanga takes pride in ensuring the responsibility of teaching music is a joyful and rewarding experience for you and your students.
For learners
Musical achievement relies on hard work and dedication. Charanga ensures students’ musical journeys are about playing and creating music, not reading about others doing it.
Partnerships
Why do national and state governments, Scottish Instrumental Music Services, educators, publishers and industry professionals work with Charanga? They have an unrivalled 25-year track record of helping organisations improve access, inclusion, equity, and standards in music and expressive arts education.
Inspiring future musicians with the RSNO
Working with Scotland’s national orchestra, Charanga wants to help more young people in Scotland experience the exhilaration of live orchestral music. Access a suite of bespoke educational materials alongside the RSNO’s most popular digital education resources.
Making a difference
Charanga is an ethical business that is serious about social responsibility. Use Charanga and be confident you’re helping create opportunities for disadvantaged young people across your community.
Everyone should be able to enjoy music from the earliest possible age. We’re working with Charanga to inspire future musicians, new audiences, and the next generation of music lovers.
Celebrating Scottish music
Celebrating the history and culture of Scotland, Charanga has everything from Gaelic songs from 300 years ago to traditional music, Robert Burns songs and modern nursery songs.
Highlights include tracks created by the National Centre of Excellence in Traditional Music (Sgoil Chiùil Na Gàidhealtachd), classroom project ideas featuring all of the creative arts, and a series of music projects for students in P6–7 using YuStudio®, Charanga’s online music studio for schools.
Use Charanga’s Scheme-builder feature to combine Charanga units with your own uploaded resources and documents to create a unique learning pathway for your school.
